Argentine Tango is an improvised social dance. This course aims to give you the basic techniques necessary to be able to dance with another tango dancer in a social setting.
The class will cover elements of tango such as leading & following, the embrace, walking, pivots, and rebounds.
This course is suitable for beginners, including complete beginners, and those wanting to focus on basic techniques.
Clothing:
Please wear comfortable clothing that gives you the ability to move freely. Layers are sensible as well, as you may get hot dancing.
Shoes:
Soft shoes that are not too grippy allowing you to easily pivot or turn on one foot. For those wanting to focus on following high heels would be useful but not necessary.
