4-week Drawing & Crafts Course “Spring Plushies” using felt & stitchwork.
Week 1 (03/04): Mad March hares, nesting birds, lacewing insects… Springtime brings plenty of inspiration! We’ll start by designing our padded felt creature on paper.
Weeks 2 & 3 (10/04 and (17/04): Our Spring token will be constructed from 2 identically cut pieces of felt. Weeks 2 and 3 are available for us to get creative with our stitch work… perhaps the colours of feathers, perhaps a Celtic motif? Add a felt eye to each side.
Week 4 (24/04): Use blanket stitch to join the two pieces of felt and stuff with fibre to give it body. Add cord to hang.
The course is £25 or £10 for deaf, hard of hearing and those with Hardship Passes.
We will have a BSL Communication support available every week.

Caroline will guide you in designing, drawing, and sketching your inspirations using a range of different materials. Then you will move towards a 3D design using felt, fabric and stitchwork to bring your creation to life!
