Jules' Jazz Jam
The trio will also feature drum supremo Ian Williams and bassist extraordinaire, Ross Thomas, both straining at the bit after lockdown. There will also be some special guests but as usual the real performers will be you, the audience. So bring your horns/bones/sticks/axes along (or any non-viking artefacts for that matter) and let's play some jazz.
Julian Martin has been performing as a jazz pianist for longer than he cares to mention, running ensembles, playing cocktail piano in hotels and supporting many of the great canon of British jazz musicians including Guy Barker, Alan Barnes, Peter King and Jim Mullen.
He also worked for many years as MD for the Radio Wales comedy show “The LL files”, and now spends his time writing music for film and TV whilst still performing and teaching Jazz.
In recent years he has taken up the Trumpet much to the dismay of his immediate family.
Note! Unless we cancel the class or you are advised to self-isolate by Track & Trace, we do not offer refunds or credits exchange on our classes.
FAQ: What is contemporary dance?
Contemporary is rebellious by nature! It was created as a reaction to the rigid rules of ballet and other genres of dance. It is expressive, and inspired by various dance styles but most importantly it allows for your own unique interpretation of a move.
