Testimonials

“Contemporary with Mike has been really beneficial to my wellbeing and getting to feel grounded. “I’ve enjoyed the challenge of moving my body with purpose in a safe space with others, free of judgement of ability and experience.

Butterfly Soup sessions have been meditative and calming. I particularly enjoy the expressing of our stories through body language, allowing us to build connection within ourselves and between other Queer humans.” – Mica, on Monday classes

Starts: WEDNESDAY, 9 APRIL 2025 AT 19:15

4-week Drawing & Crafts Course “Spring Plushies” using felt & stitchwork.

Week 1 (09/04): Mad March hares, nesting birds, lacewing insects… Springtime brings plenty of inspiration! We’ll start by designing our padded felt creature on paper.

Weeks 2 & 3 (16/04 and (23/04): Our Spring token will be constructed from 2 identically cut pieces of felt. Weeks 2 and 3 are available for us to get creative with our stitch work… perhaps the colours of feathers, perhaps a Celtic motif? Add a felt eye to each side.

Week 4 (30/04): Use blanket stitch to join the two pieces of felt and stuff with fibre to give it body. Add cord to hang.

The course is £30 or £10 for deaf, hard of hearing and those with Hardship Passes. Weekly drop-in is £8.50. We will have a BSL Communication support available every week.
